ERP ID and External Customer ID explained

Summary

Within the Copaco Cloud Platform there are 2 fields that can be used to enter a customer ID. These fields are ERP ID and External Customer ID. Both of these fields have some limitations. This article will describe these limitations.

ERP ID

• Must be unique in your Copaco Cloud Platform. It’s NOT possible to have 2 customers with the same ERP ID.

• Is shown in the reports from Copaco Cloud Platform → Reports.

• Is NOT shown in the billing API.

External Customer ID

• Doesn’t have to be unique your Copaco Cloud Platform. You can have multiple customers with the same External Customer ID.

• Is NOT shown in the reports from Copaco Cloud Platform → Reports.

• Is shown in the billing API.

• Maps on the value CustomerNumber in the API response.
