How to add article numbers (SKU's) to Service Plans

Summary

In our platform you can add SKU numbers to subscription periods and
resources. These SKU's are available to show within the invoicing API if
used correctly. You can let your system interpret these SKU's as your
Article numbers. You can use the SKU's multiple times within the system.

  1. You can set a SKU on the following steps in a subscription period of a service plan:

    • SetupCosts when buying the service plan

    • RecurringRecurring fee each billing period

    • RenewalCosts when renewing the subscription

    • TransferCosts when transfering the subscription

    • CancellationCosts for cancelling the subscription

  2. You can set a SKU on the following steps of a Resource:

    • SetupCosts when buying the resource

    • RecurringRecurring fee each billing period*

    • OveruseCosts when using more resources than bought. (only works if overusage is allowed)

    • CancellationCosts for cancelling the resource

Start

  1. Log in to your 2tcloud portal with your Reseller Account and click on Classic Panel.


  2. Go to Billing

  3. Go to System --> Settings

  4. In the section Products click ‘SKU

  5. To create a new SKU click ‘Add New SKU

  6. Fill in the SKU field and for clarification purposes we recommend you fill in the ‘Description’ field. The Description field is optional and you can have multiple languages available. This can be changed by clicking on the language code next to the description field.

    After completing the fields click ‘Save

  7. You can create as much SKU's as required as explained in the previous 2 steps

  8. To link the SKU's, go to ‘Products’ --> ‘Service Plans

  9. Go to the Service Plan for which you want to add the SKU

  10. Go to ‘Subscription Periods

  11. Open the period for which you want to link the SKU (different periods are available for different plans)

  12. Click ‘Edit’ on the bottom of the page

  13. Click on the image of a magnifying glass to search for your SKU in the line of the SKU you want to configure

  14. Within the newly opened window click the SKU you want to assign to the action

  15. Repeat step 13 and 14 if you want to assign a SKU to multiple actions, afterwards click ‘Save

  16. Return to the Subscription Period overview page by clicking the Service plan on the top of the page

  17. When you use multiple subscription periods or have created different SKU's for the other Subscription periods, repeat step 11-16 until you have configured all periods you want to configure.

    1. If you only want to use SKU's on the Service Plans you are now finished with this guide.

    2. If you also want to configure SKU's on Resources, go to the tab ‘Resource Rates

  18. Open the resource for which you want to link the SKU.

    (Keep in mind that different resources are available for different plans, but the same resource can be in multiple plans!)

  19. Click ‘Edit’ at the bottom of the page

  20. Click on the image of a magnifying glass to search for your SKU in the line of the SKU you want to configure

  21. Within the newly opened window click the SKU you want to assign to the action

  22. Repeat step 21 and 22 if you want to assign a SKU to multiple actions, afterwards click ‘Save

  23. Return to the Resource Rates overview page by clicking the Service plan on the top of the page

  24. If you want to configure more resources or have created different SKU's for the other resources repeat step 19-23 until you have configured all resources you want to configure.

  25. You have configured the SKU's on one Service plan.

    To configure another Service plan you can repeat step 8-25.
