How to create and manage Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 Backup jobs
Summary
When you have purchased a Veam Backup for Microsoft 365 subscription your customer and configured their tenant. you can start creating & managing backup jobs. This is not something a customer can do, you can do this by using your Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 reseller credentials. This article describes how you can do this.
Prerequisites
Make sure you have purchased a Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 subscription (see How to order Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 for a customer)
Make sure you have added customers Microsoft tenant
Make sure you have access to our Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 portal as a Reseller
Getting Started
Login to our Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 portal as a reseller.
Click on the tenant for which you want to configure a backup job.
Click on “Backup Jobs”.
Click on the “+” sign on the right.
Enter a “name” and “Description” and click “Next”.
In this case we are going to backup the entire organisation. Select “Backup entire organisation” and click “Next”.
If you prefer you can exclude objects from backup. In this example we dont exclude anything. Click “Next”.
On the “repository selection” leave everything default and click “Next”.
Now you can schedule the job to run at a specific time and configure a backup window. In this example we leave the schedule default. click “save”.
If you prefer you can notify users that you have created the job. click “Finish”.
The job is now created. You can run it by clicking on the “play” Sign.
Now click on the “home” button.
Go to “Backup jobs”.
Here you can see that our backup job ran succesfully.
You can also see the complete session history by clicking on “sessions” .
